Booked a table for 5.15 on a Sunday and it was fairly busy which was to be expected. Was seated and had drinks taken by the manager but when I asked for the set menu I was told it is valid for Monday-Friday, even though the website says from Sunday and a couple next to me ordered off the set menu. The manager appeared very stressed and looked annoyed when she first came to take my drink order as I was on the phone. A server (Jeanette) later took over and was excellent. Food was lush, would definitely recommend the melt in the mouth gammon and dessert combo. Shame the service/manager was a bit up and down.
The ambience and atmosphere was nice but the food was disappointing.My wife had the chicken, which was decidedly underdone. The vegetables were probably tinned and tasteless.My daughter had the half rack of ribs. While the ribs were nice, the vegetables were horrible.I had the pulled pork burger. It was ok, but not great. We've noticed that the quality of the food has gone downhill at Harvester, and probably won't go back...Sorry Harvester - you need to do much, much better than that!
Had an early tea here before the cinema.Food and service was good, but things were missing from the meals that were shown as included on the menu. This seems standard with Harvester now, perhaps they are having supply issues, therefore just leave stuff off? Still good value with discount codes applied!
Staff were very slow to take our order. Food was slow to come out, one of the meals was forgotten so was told we weren't going to be charged for it, and took 4 attempts to get the bill right (forgotten meal was on the bill, hadn't taken off deposit, charged full price for kids meals and charged for sugar refills when we had sugar free drinks).
Great place to eat. Top notch food. Superb burgers. Spacious friendly staff. Great for birthdays good value. Good size portions. Would definitely recommend
